CJSF 90.1FM is listener-powered and supported radio that is Rooted in Community. This year, CJSF hosts its 9th annual Fundrive, starting next week on Monday, Nov. 2 and running until Sunday, Nov. 8.

Inspired by the work of this year’s Fundrive Artist, Winter Darbey, this year’s theme imagines an autumnal ecosystem that reflects our own bustling community with the radio station as the centre of an “underground network” of mycelium connecting us to the rest of the world. Like any ecosystem, ours needs nutrients and energy to thrive - With Your Support, We Grow!

Our goal this year is to raise $10,000. Your support helps us every day and supports equipment upgrades and repairs, training for programmers and volunteers, program acquisition, and most importantly, enables our programmers to produce the radio shows that make CJSF great.

Over the last year, we’ve added over 10 new programs and dozens of new volunteers; produced high-quality local journalism including coverage of the recent municipal and provincial elections; re-started Studio 6, our live performance video series, while expanding it into a weekly radio program; and have continued to grow our one-of-a-kind music archive to over 94,000 items. None of these accomplishments would be possible without the support of listeners and donors like you.

A Fundrive gift for you

Both are created with the art of our talented Fundrive 2026 artist, Winter Darbey. Winter is a recent Emily Carr University graduate and has worked closely with us to develop the artwork and characters seen throughout our Fundrive Campaign this year.
